Lollapalooza Parties All Night Long

I am still exhausted from the Lollapalooza after parties. In no way is this meant to sound ungrateful but the late hours and open bars didn't stop after starting the Wednesday before the concerts did.

Pandora hosted a third annual Chicago Invasion at Morgan Manufacturing on July 27. Sobieski Vodka, Samuel Adams, and rockers Matt and Kim were all part of the fun. The venue was packed with great energy thanks to Kim's drum playing and Matt's onstage antics.

Soho House Chicago on Green Street had some of the best parties going all week. Not only did I fall for the burgers and swimming pool, but the up close and intimate DJ sets of Major Lazer and Disclosure were once in a lifetime possibly.

The Hard Rock Hotel has had some of the best parties in the past that ran continually. This time there were just a few with Twix presenting Dinosaur, Jr and NE-HI performing at night and Dreezy performing for a REVOLT event during the day.

Nylon Nights drank moonshine at the Virgin Hotel with Stillhouse Whiskey with performances by two of my interviews over the weekend, Dua Lip and Haelos.

Four Loko held two after parties at 1446 W. Kinzie St. but FLOODfest was the place to be on Saturday night. The line wrapped around the building at Venue SIX10 to see band Local Natives and it was worth it. The gender neutral bathroom took some getting used to for the mixed crowd but turned into business as usual quickly.

In the NoMi Garden Park Hyatt Lifeway Foods practiced Yoga with TV star Sophia Bush with an intimate crowd. It was not only relaxing but a beautiful view of the city complete with live DJ.

House of Blues held an annual press brunch that hit the spot with chicken and waffles plus huge mimosas. Nearby It's SO MIAMI also brought the brunch for pregamers at the Rennaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel complete with cabanas and rock music from Secret Weapons.

These parties all enhanced the Lollapalooza experience and kept people on their feet during the day and at night.

Until next year I may still be recovering...
