Hello again! It's been a while since we've written but we've both been dealing with the holidays and getting over them. My semester has started up again and Steven and I are both starting new jobs. Fun and exciting isn't it?
We sincerely hope that everyone 's holidays were as wonderful as ours. We managed to spend both X-mas and the New Year together (which makes for a very happy Michelle I promise :). And now that all the lights and trees have been taken down...HA!...only in a perfect world...(we'll be taking them down later this week...hopefully)...we're left with a brand new year.
A new year can mean so many different things. It can mean chance to start over, forget, plan, hope... on and on the list could go. Whatever it means to you personally you should remember not to put all your eggs in one basket right away. Start slow and be realistic. We are after all only human and if we don't meet our own expectations from the start remember that you have 365 chances (well around 350-something at this point) to try again.
Resolutions usually meant to better ourselves are often the first to be forgotten. If they make it to March it's a miracle. So perhaps we should take in mind the fact that for some reason nature decided to unleash it's fury on the rest of the world in 2005. If we can't keep our promises to help ourselves...we should help others. You can do so at www.redcross.com.
This will be the year... for fun. That has been my New Year's resolution since conception er I mean since I turned the legal drinking age. However, resolutions are not to be taken lightly. I remember the year where I failed miserably at having fun and that just wasn't right.
I think it's good to have resolutions that are attainable, so a word of advice, don't dream your way into your resolution. If you want to quit smoking, then quit, don't make it your resolution because when you fail, it feels like an even bigger failure. If you want to start working out on a regular basis, start doing it first and then when you find your routine convince yourself then that you had that as a resolution from the beginning.
I will be having fun all year. Michelle will be having fun all year...we hope to see everyone and involve as many people we can in our fun...all year.
