The Boy From Oz is the story of Peter Allen and his rise to almost being famous though he was in some circles. This particular show hit it big with Hugh Jackman on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre. While some Chicago audience members may wish to see Wolverine impersonate Allen, Chris Logan does an ample job. It is not an easy role with Nancy Hays as Judy Garland and Michelle Lauto as Liza Minnelli almost steal the show at times.

There are some great moments in a lengthy production that attempts to capture much of Allen's life. There are touching classic songs such as "I Honestly Love You" and "Don't Cry Out Loud." They are reason enough to discover the late writer's work.

The Boy From Australia ends its run in the Windy City August 30 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Avenue.

Behold the amazing Antanina Satsura who plays the Mini Lili Character in the new production fo Kurios, Cirque Du Soleil latest offereing to blow into Chicago. It was great meeting one of the smallest people in the world who just is mesmerizing onstage in the acrobatic show.

Placed at the United Center under a big tent is the perfect place to immerse audiences in a creative world. Hopeully there are small audience members as well with the chairs so close together that neighbors may be a little uncomfortable in a packed setting.

The real circus lies outside with merchandise and snacks galore that rival a Las Vegas production. Fans can have their picture taken in costumes then purchase them to take home. While at the after party on opening night some acrobats from the touring Broadway show Pippin popped in so you never know who will show up!

There is plenty to see and do while visiting this Cabinet of Curiosities in a place that the whole family can enjoy.

Swing over to the United Center before September 20 to catch Kurios. Visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/shows/kurios/tickets/chicago.aspx for tickets and information.
