Vanité Paul Mitchell Focus Salon Teams up with Fro

ChicagoPride.com's very own Kinley Preston will be hosting an event at her Vanité Salon, 3161 N. Halsted St, on Sunday March 24 from 10am - 3pm to benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Guests will be shaving their heads to raise awareness for childhood cancer as well as enjoy an exclusive silent auction, live music, and more. Guests do not have to shave their head and are still encouraged to attend the event.

Vanité Salon's director Marco Castro believes that Sunday's event is a product of what happens when people and passion unite.

"I want people to see that when you work together anything is possible. This started with a small idea and has brought people from all different backgrounds together for a common goal to fight childhood cancer," said Castro.

The event is a part of a month-long fundraising campaign and partnership the salon has with Frog N Snail restaurant to benefit the foundation.

Throughout the month of March, when customers dine in at Frog N' Snail, 3124 N. Broadway, and purchase the restaurant's famous dish Snails Ya'll $1 will be donated to the Saint Baldrick's Foundation.

Customers are then encouraged to bring in their restaurant receipt into Vanité Salon to enjoy a 50% discount on any single hair service of their choosing.
