Milon embarked on her career in 2005 at the age of 26 when Jennifer Griffin of Journey Creative Designs was inspired by Milon’s edgy, androgynous look. Journey Creative Studio approached Milon to model in the Hard Candy Calendar for charity. Milon has modeled for hundreds of different print works throughout the Midwest and southern states. Milon’s open lesbian lifestyle as made her the perfect pictorial representation of pride throughout the LGBT community in the Midwest. In July of 2008 Milon was the focus of a three part diversified marketing campaign for ULTR E!GO Magazine, which included a full length themed photo shoot, interview and the first publication of “Who Was She?” “Who Was She” is an intense multi-pieced poem written and revised into book format by Milon and released in summer of 2009.
Milon’s fashion and runway career began at Macy’s as a model for the AIDS Awareness benefit. Since then Milon modeled in numerous fashion showcases, specifically chosen by designers desiring to break the mold of what a female model should and could wear on a runway.
In addition to these sold-out shows Milon was in this year’s Gay Pride parade promoting her book and has appeared in Nightspots magazine. On September 5 Milon was in her first off-Broadway play in Atlanta, GA called Bois Don’t Cry by Laurinda D Brown. Milon will be in more plays this October in Chicago.
