Center on Halsted hosts On The Red Carpet Oscar Party, Sunday, March 7

Center on Halsted is pleased to announce its new, exciting and expanded "On the Red Carpet Oscar Party" to be held Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Fairmont Millennium Park Hotel, located at 200 N. Columbus Drive in Chicago. The Red Carpet Reception begins at 6:00pm and the Oscar Telecast, which will be broadcast on enormous screens, starts at 7:00 pm. Valet parking is available.
Guests will be treated like celebrities as they walk down the "living red carpet," filled with paparazzi, to join the excitement. The glamorous International Ballroom at the Fairmont will only add to the opulent elegance of the evening.
Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served throughout the evening. Five lucky winners will go home with one of the amazing raffle prizes that include five nights in Beverly Hills, four nights in luxury in Miami Beach, fine wine tastings and events in Sonoma, four suites at the Fairmont for an evening paired with dinner for eight at Aria and a men's dog tag necklace by designer David Yurman. Round-trip, main cabin transportation to Beverly Hills and Miami has been generously provided by American Airlines with hotel accommodations courtesy of Fairmont and Peninsula Hotels.
Oscar Co-chair Wayne Harth states, "We took last year's sold out Oscar benefit's momentum and really pulled all the stops out this year." Gregory Hyder, benefit Co-Chair adds "This year it was just time for a major Oscar party in Chicago for the LGBT and allied communities." Oscar Co-Chair Judi Gorman continues, "We simply could not have been more blessed in pulling together a fun and dedicated committee making this year's Oscar party the best ever!"
