Chicago, IL - "Stand" is the new track from Jewel on Atlantic records. This song wins where the mundane "Intuition" did not. Boris and Beck are proving themselves to be quite the remix duo and their funky rendition of this track is testament to it. An "A+" for the Scumfrog "hashed" remix. Frog's snappy, banging beats create a fun mix sounding like a cross between Murk and Junior Vasquez. Trippy fun for the funky dance floor. – Chris Eterno

Few people would be able to pull it off but Peter Rauhofer can… He struts his stuff by proclaiming, “This Is My House” in the first release from his upcoming full length LP of original tracks (Star 69). The Roxy mix is suited for the peak hour while the Back In The Day mix lends the classic flavor that Rauhofer has been playing with lately. Bonus alert! The CD single contains two new mixes of Peter’s classic, “Unique” (vocals by Kim Cooper), with the Airmale remix lending progressive sounds to spice up the original release from 1991. – Greg Drescher

Superchumbo (Tom Stephan) returns on Twisted, following up the #1 smash "Irresistible" with "This Beat Is". What is this beat? Ferocious! Stephan delivers his signature synth-laden dark bangin' NY style progressive sound which is taking dance floors by storm. More tribal mayhem to follow with mixes by Victor Calderone. Serve this beverage hot with extra cream! - CE

Thea Austin may have “Just About Had Enough” but this release on Star 69 Records will make you want more! The former vocalist for SNAP lends her talent to this first track by Beat Hustlerz (Ellis Miah from Orange Factory & Jody den Broeder). The Hustlerz Main Mix provides the full quality vocal but of special note is the Hard Dub from Chris Cox, which takes it to the next level. Already talked about for months, this track will be one of the anthems of the year. – GD

House heads and Urban fans will both live for the new remixes of Ashanti's "Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)" on Murder Inc. Records. Jay Hannan's (Lazy Dog) and the Pound Boys deliver smooth house grooves while JD and Taz & Vanguard deliver downtempo urban beats that guarantee to move you. A cute pick up for the early set. – CE

Fans of the cult-like sensation, Party Monster, should pick up a copy of the movie’s soundtrack (TVT Soundtrax). This collection of electro-funk dance hits from the 80’s will bring back memories (for those who retained some brain cells) for partygoers who were part of the scene during the days of club promoter Michael Alig, the focus of the documentary. Such classics include “Two of Hearts” by Stacey Q and Shannon’s “Give Me Tonight”. Those who still follow eletronic music will be pleased to find Miss Kitten & The Hacker’s “Frank Sinatra”, Ladytron’s “Seventeen” and Keoki’s “Crash”. - GD
