Chicago, IL - Crew Bar and Grill, which celebrated its fifth anniversary this past summer, has struggled to keep the doors open during these tough economic times.

"Uptown is no Magnificent Mile and it was shocking to see how hard the economy hit us," says Brian Wells, one of the original owners of Crew.

Faced with the prospect of closing for good Wells and Steven Milford, who opened Crew with Wells, have secured two new partners, Mike Sullivan and Mark Robertson, to bring financial stability to the popular Uptown bar.

"Mike and Mark are definitely a welcome addition to Crew and Brian and I are looking forward to a great partnership," said Milford. Together, Wells and Milford have managed Crew since Day 1 and will continue to oversee day-to-day operations.

"Mark and I have been impressed with Steve and Brian since we first met them last August. They have created a well-recognized brand name, with a loyal following and great food," says Sullivan. "It's a credit to the two of them that Crew has been able to survive the recession when so many businesses have failed."

Crew opened in the summer of 2005. Crew was just named one of the Top 100 Bars by Chicago magazine.

Crew is closed from Monday, Jan. 25 and will reopen on Jan. 28, just prior to Super Bowl weekend, with an updated look and new HD monitors. UPDATE: Crew is now reopened.
