Chicago, IL - Twisted Records strikes again! Darrel Martin's new cut "Luv Me" off of Rob DiStefano's love child label is my personal pick of the week. True progressive fans may know Martin as KIWI of Kiwi Dreams, hence the Kiwi Cut mix. This mix is has a deep bouncing beat with a darker edge, and hard synth lines. Although dark in nature, it has an awesome vocal track that will appeal to the sissy side of the dance floor. A must have for contemporary dance fans. A+… Chris Eterno

Holly Palmer is no newcomer to pop music, singing backup for K.D. Lang and David Bowie. Her new single "Just So You Know" on Warner Bros. has all the makings of a #1 hit. Murk's Miami mix is dark and progressive with Holly's haunting vocals strategically layered. Murk's dub is a hard core tribal track with limited vocal use. Bill Hamel delivers a deeper trance sound that works well. Fans of the progressive will like this release. – CE

Victor Calderone made us a promise… “I’ll take you back to the deep dark jungle.” And he does! Calderone’s much-anticipated re-make of the classic “Philosophy of Dance” has been released on his label, Statrax. First heard and performed by Kevin Aviance at Victor’s Jungle event in NY, this tribal cut is sure to add jungle chants to dance floors for months to come and features a Deep Dark Acappella as a special treat for DJs. A must have! - Greg Drescher

The follow up to Ricky Martin's “Relight My Fire” is “Jaleo” on Sony Records. Ricky stays true to his Spanish roots by singing this song in Spanglish. Grammy winner Roger Sanchez reworks this tune with his Casa De Gitano Vocal mix and the Trizalismo Dub. Both mixes are snappy and filled with Iberican guitar rhythms, but the dub shines through with a deeper tribal ride. Pick this up for a cute listen. – CE
