The 48th annual Chicago Pride Parade will include 150 entries featuring colorful floats, decorated vehicles, marching bands and walking contingents representing community businesses, organizations, elected governmental officials and individuals.
The 2017 Chicago Pride Parade steps off at noon on Sunday, June 25 at Broadway and Montrose in the Uptown neighborhood. The parade will then travel the 21-block parade route south on Broadway; then south on Halsted; then east on Belmont; then south on Broadway; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive.
The Chicago Pride Parade is one of 31 parades in the City of Chicago, and all are supposed to be 2 hours, 15 minutes, according to organizer Richard Pfeiffer of PRIDEChicago.
Chicago's annual Pride Parade is the culmination of June Pride Month and is organized by PRIDEChicago under the direction of Pfeiffer.
There are about 90 Pride Parades annually in the U.S., and about 13 are held on the last Sunday in June.
