The Art of Uribe: A GLBT Networking Reception

Chicago, IL - On Thursday, September 18, the exceptional Aldo Castillo Gallery will be the host of "Art of Uribe," an elegant networking event for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT)business owners, executives and allies. Presented by Wells Fargo Private Client Services, the event is also co-sponsored by the law firm of Jenner & Block, Renslow Family Enterprises and Third Coast Marketing, a Chicago-based GLBT marketing firm, and will take place from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.

"Art of Uribe" will feature a private showing of the works of renowned Colombian artist, Luis Fernando Uribe, a pre-holiday wine tasting with
reds, whites and sparkling selections from PRP Wine International, and gourmet desserts from Andersonville's Swedish Bakery. As a bonus, the event will also feature a door-prize drawing for a pair of front row tickets to Cher's October 13 concert, plus gift certificates to top Lettuce Entertain You restaurants. Luis Fernando Uribe
Born in 1950 in Antioquai, Columbia, Uribe is considered to be one of the foremost Latin American visual artists working in Magic Realism. He has exhibited extensively throughout the world since 1977. For over twenty years he has been exploring the poetry of painting, while investigating different painting and sculpting techniques. His works are included in collections in The Latin American Art Museum, Long Beach, California; the Museum of Modern Art, Buraramanga, Columbia, and the Belles Artes Museum of Venezuela.
