Matthew Harvat’s latest over-the-top dance party promises to be “bigger and brighter” than ever before

Revolution and Matthew Harvat -- a.k.a. CircuitMOM -- return to the House of Blues next Saturday, Aug. 13, during Market Days. "Superhero Resurrection" is the latest in the series of large scale dance parties bringing pulsing beats, curated costumes, mindblowing sets and visual effects and, of course, scores of beautiful, sweaty men to the Chicago landmark.

"I think just the sheer spectacle of the event itself has a certain 'WOW' factor," Harvat told "We have a team that designs and builds the set, the room decor and all the costuming for each theme. We bring in all of the custom lighting, lasers, fog, backdrops, mirrored balls, strobe effects and technology to take the venue from being a rock band concert house to a top of the line dance club."

"We set the stage for what we hope is a great party, but the people who come to the event in their elaborate costumes and over the top excitement and energy is what truly makes the party the best one of the year!"

Since returning to the House of Blues (after a 7 year hiatus) in 2010, the Market Days weekend Revolution parties have tried on several themes -- including "Wild West" and "Volcano" -- but it was the two superhero themed parties (including last year's "Rise of the Villains") that fit just right and brought out the most enthusiastically costumed dance crowd. With the House of Blues already booked for the coming years as well, Harvat says the popular superhero theme will continue, with a yearly sub theme, like this year's "Resurrection."

"We figured that enough superheroes have either died or nearly died and fought back to glorious victories, this would be a great layer to add," Harvat said, adding: "We never set out to make the party a costume party, but most of our audience dresses up, so why not?"

Guests from last year's party will remember the sexy real-life hero and straight ally Alex Minsky hosting the event. After securing the rights to an edited photo of model, actor and kickboxing world champ Thomas Canestraro for this year's party, Harvat was contacted about Canestraro, like Minsky, coming to host the event as a straight ally. The hunky athlete/actor will be on hand in full superhero garb and available for photo ops.

Partygoers will be treated to yet another fabulous surprise in the form of the first appearance of the beloved CircuitMOM -- Harvat's famous drag alter-ego and a veritable icon of the circuit scene -- at Market Days in 13 years!

Harvat promises a party that's "bigger and brighter" than ever before, starting with a spectacular stage design by David Andora, complemented by a custom light and laser show from S2 and Orange Productions. Eight sexy gogo boys from across the U.S. will be costumed by Harvat's friend, performer SHOKRA -- "she can fill a stadium with one of her signature head pieces," he said.

Music for the night comes from headliner DJs Dani Toro and Nina Flowers, both making their Market Days debuts. Their elevated, unique styles are sure to compliment each other, bringing the dancefloor the best of deep house, funk and down and dirty drums mixed with familiar tracks and soaring vocals "to keep your mind happy and your soul dancing."

"After 19 years of producing large scale parties, I think people know we work to create the unexpected," Harvat continued. "It is all about the guests. They put their trust (and hard earned money) in us as producers to entertain them and we work hard to deliver. Our team of 30 people work on this event all year to make sure we keep it fresh and fun. Also, House Of Blues is an iconic Chicago venue that is so dramatic and unique, it truly lends itself to an over-the-top party atmosphere."

Don't wait to purchase your tickets for this event! Last year's party sold out a week in advance and you won't want to miss this spectacular show and the sexy crowd decked out in capes, spandex and body paint that comes with it. And lastly, a comment from Harvat on the subject of costumes:

"On a more serious note, we encourage people to express creativity in their superhero costumes and party wear. House Of Blues security is aware that most people, like all the years past, will be attending in some sort of costume. We ask that our guests not bring any sort of costume weapon with them, whether it be toy guns, swords, fake bullet belts or large backpacks. You will not be allowed to enter the party with these items. We will have a coat check open for you to check your street clothes but please be respectful of our request for no weapon props on the premises. We want to ensure everyone has a safe and fun night. Also, if you leave to smoke, you may be subjected to a search or a metal detector wand before re-entry as a precaution. Unfortunately, these are the times we live in and your full cooperation is greatly appreciated."
