Indonesian mayor claims instant noodles, canned milk makes babies gay

Arief Wismansyah, the mayor of Tangerang, a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia, claimed this week that feeding babies instant noodles and canned milk might make them gay.
At a seminar on pregnancy, Wismansyah lamented that young parents are so busy that they wind up feeding their children formula and instant foods.
"So, it's no wonder that recently there are more LGBT," he is quoted as saying by Coconut Jakarta.
The outlet noted that Wismansyah also voiced his opposition to LGBT-based discrimination.
"Which is a nice thing to say," editors opined. "Because it would be really unfair to discriminate against somebody just because their lazy parents turned them gay by feeding them formula and instant noodles as a child
