Center on Halsted hosts art shows in January

Chicago, IL - The Center on Halsted will host two art shows in January. The "Jeff Stevenson: Many-One" opening reception will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, at Center on Halsted's second floor gallery from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. A $5 donation is requested. A cash bar will be available. The exhibit will feature large scale, multiple canvases, figurative paintings. The show runs through February 15. The "Yes We Can: John Gless on the Campaign Trail with Barack Obama" opening reception will be held on Friday, Jan. 16, at Center on Halsted's third floor gallery from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. A $5 donation is requested. A cash bar will be available. John Gress' work in commercial and photojournalism/documentary photography can be described as "vivid, heart-wrenching and captivating." The show runs through March 1.
