Chicago, IL - The InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile, 505 N. Michigan Ave., celebrates Pride Month this June in Chicago by flying a rainbow flag over Michigan Avenue.

"InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile salutes the long history of the LGBT community and supports the freedom of all people to express their sexual and gender identities without oppression," the hotel stated in a news release. 

The Chicago Pride celebration and parade extends over two weekends with Chicago Pride Fest this past weekend the Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29th. 

The rainbow flag, which is a symbol of LGBT pride, will remain up through June 30.  

InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), a multinational hotels company with brands including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Hotel Indigo, participates in the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index, a benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT employees. IHG scored 90 out of 100 in 2014.
