Chicago, IL -
Chicago's Grab Magazine this week celebrates its 5 year anniversary.
Established in June of 2009, GRAB Magazine was founded by Mark Nagel and Stacy Bridges, both longtime residents and active members of Chicago's LGBTQ community. Both Nagel and Bridges have been in the published community collectively for 33 years.
"Our goal was to bring Chicago an entertainment magazine covering Chicago's LGBTQ nightlife," said Bridges. "A magazine that fully embraces our diverse community."
GRAB Magazine, a biweekly publication, is sponsor of many charities and events held throughout the year in the city of Chicago, including Dance for Life, Equality Illinois Gala, Center on Halsted, Chicago House, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN), AIDS Legal Council, Ride and Walk for AIDS, and many more.
"We try to give back as much as we can to Chicago and its many charities, commented Nagel. "And we are looking forward to another 5 plus years."
GRAB Magazine is available for free at bars, restaurants and stores throughout Chicago. The publication is also available for download at www.GrabChicago.com.
Look for GRAB Magazine at Chicago Pride Fest, June 21 and 22, as well as their booth at Market Days, August 9 and 10. Also be sure to watch for their float in the annual Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29.
