Scene and be Seen

Chicago, IL - Hello kiddies! It's time for another burnin' pussy review segment from your one and only Kii Kii!! FIREBALL IN A NUTSHELL: Ferosh! Friday at the Finkl Steel Mill (I love that name……FINKL!) saw Manny Lehman toss the kids into a tizzy with his slammin' sounds. Saturday afternoon's Gluck Puck and DJ round table were moved to Club 730 from the pending Soundbar. QUESTION: Why do they call is Soundbar? ANSWER: Because all we ever do is HEAR about it!! Amy Armstrong gave us some cabaret toons, and Gluck's puck was fun despite the last minute relocation. SATURDAY EVENING at the Aragon: Ralphi and Abel spun the room upside down. Among the walkways and rafters, nary a soul to be seen……but one peak over the balcony explained why. Over 4000 boys packed onto the dancefloor was a testament to the fact that Ralphi still rules the Chicago danceflava. EVERYONE was on the dancefloor! Minor whimpers that there were too many performances (6 to be exact) but regardless, Deb Cooper, Sauci Bernaise, and Pat Hodges won the votes for fiercest gals of the evening. Hopping over to Man's Country for the afterhours spun by Hugo was the thing to do. I'm dating myself, but it brought back memories stepping into the old Bistro space. (For the younger children: the upstairs at Man's Country used to be a nightclub years back) Hugo was awesome, experimenting with new sounds abound. Lydia Prim delivered the goods at Excalibur on Sunday for the T dance. David Knapp replaced Tracy Young for the closing party and surprised many people by throwing down a harder sound than what people are accustomed to hearing. It was a pleasant surprise to say the least. Power Infiniti dazzled the audience with her interpretation of "Children of the Night" which was dark, dirty, and sexy! The VIP room and Vision spaces had many local DJ' donating their sets to the Heart's Foundation. Kudos the Hearts for giving Chicago another fabulous Fireball to put under it's belt.

Onto other dramas and homo happenins in the land of Aldermen: Rumors that Domaine has picked up a 4am license. Could this be what the doctor ordered to make Glam Sundays the next GLEE club? Stay tuned. Who was your Valentine? A stop at Club 930 on Valentine's day was quite that way: Mike Serafini tag-team with John Curly for sexy underground music. Drink specials + Chocolate covered strawberries around the bar = NICE! We then sauntered into Felt where the boys are cute and the drinks run thick! Felt's barstaff was recently voted the sexiest on Halsted St. by Qchicago.com and we understand why. Between Jeremy and Erik (returning to the shot slinging) we don't know which one to drool over first. Last stop before we passed out was Cocktail where the bar just oozed sexy. Sexy dancers, Sexy patrons, and Freddie Bain's sexy music made for quite a titillating treat. Outside of homo-ville, much was happening at The District (858 W. Lake St.). DJ Lego let the children have it as singer Carla Prather belted a few licks on the microphone to make the evening complete.

February 15th saw Master At Work Lil' Louis Vega spinning it down and around at Super Lounge. WAY cute, Mr. Vega! The crew from Music 101 invades Transit on Thursday nights now with their house music explosion. Also on Thursday nights is "Hard Candy" with DJ Chris Gin and company down at the Big Wig, 1551 W. Division St. in Wicked Park. Watch out for the dynamic duo of Teri Bristol and Psycho-Bitch to lay down a new residency at Red Dog on Friday nights. Currently dubbed "Stylus Fridays", it is going to be a night for which to watch! Coming up on the 28th of February at Zentra is Grammy nominee Jay -J and his cohort Chris Lum spinning it deep and sexy for the gals of cowtown. Spundae @ Vision does it again with upcoming gigs from the Low End Specialists on March 1st, and New York's DJ Vibe on March 8th.

Lastly, don't forget to go have a ball at the Lakeshore Theater 3175 N. Broadway starting February 18th for their limited engagement of "Puppetry of The Penis". Described as the art of genital origami, I'm sure you will bust a nut laughing.
