Force QB Sami Grisafe will perform the National Athem

Chicago, IL - The Chicago Cubs will honor the Chicago Force Women's Tackle Football Team for their 2013 perfect season and National Championship title during the Cubs game on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Wrigley Field. The Quarterback for the Chicago Force and World Championship MVP, Sami Grisafe, will perform the National Anthem.

The Force (12-0) cruised to a convincing 81-34 win over the Dallas Diamonds to win the first Force national championship, avenging two previous championship game losses. Quarterback Sami Grisafe and teammate Jessica Javelet were named the co-MVPs of the National Championship game as Grisafe threw for 526 yards and 8 touchdowns, while Javelet had 11 receptions for 225 yards and 4 touchdowns.

During the 2013 perfect season, the Chicago Force out-scored their opponents 771-128. Chicago quarterback Sami Grisafe was named the WFA National Conference Offensive Player of the Year after throwing for 4301 yards and 57 touchdowns. Line backer Darcy Leslie was named the WFA National Conference Defensive Player of the Year after collecting 96 tackles and 28 tackles for a loss this season. In addition, Linda Bache was named the WFA Owner of the Year. This was Bache's 11th year with the team, and the Force has made the playoffs ten out of its eleven seasons.

Among the Chicago Force players who will be recognized on the field will be the nine Chicago Force players who were members of the record setting 2013 U.S. Women's National Team that won the IFAF Women's World Championship on July 6, 2013 in Finland.
