Chicago, IL -
A Chicago Police SWAT team was called to end a standoff on a roof in the Lakeview neighborhood Monday night.
Police approached a man sitting in a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of West Addison around 8 p.m. The man then fled from the car and was pursued by police.
The suspect climbed to the top of an apartment building, which is located across from the 19th District Police Station, and threatened to jump, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
At 8:20 p.m., a SWAT team was called and the 21-year-old man was later taken into custody just before 10 p.m.
The man was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation.
