Corvino, Gallagher debate marriage equality July 23 (canceled)

Chicago, IL - UPDATE: The Marin Foundation sent Windy City Times this note June 17: "... we have decided to cancel the July 23 event at Roscoe's." 

Dr. John Corvino and Maggie Gallagher, co-authors of the book Debating Same-Sex Marriage, will be discussing their views on marriage equality and the principles and philosophies that inform their diverging views in a conversation moderated by Andrew Marin of The Marin Foundation.

The event will be July 23 at Roscoe's, 3356 N. Halsted, 7 p.m. Event is free and open to the public. No RSVP or ticket is required. Age requirement is 21+.

The event is titled "Can A Gay Man Be Friends with Maggie Gallagher? John Corvino, Maggie Gallagher, and Andrew Marin talk about Passion, Principles, and Marriage."It is sponsored by The Marin Foundation featuring Dr. John Corvino and Maggie Gallagher. Dr. Corvino (johncorvino.com) is Associate Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Wayne State University. Maggie Gallagher (maggiegallagher.com) is co-founder of the National Organization for Marriage.
