Northalsted Window Walk, Dec. 8 - 31

Chicago, IL - It may not be Macy's, but it's how Northalsted does festive and fabulous. The Northalsted Window Walk will be unveiled this Saturday, Dec. 8 in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood.

"The Window Walk is an opportunity to connect with customers in a fun and festive way," Anthony Almauger of ID Chicago told ChicagoPride.com. Almauger is the head of the retail committee for the Northalsted Business Alliance.

The month long event, which is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, features approximately 20 businesses along North Halsted with decked out windows, creating a seasonal spectacle. This year's theme captures it all with ‘A Curious Holiday on Halsted.'

"We are so happy to have been involved," said Jeremy Hackney, manager, Fifth Third Bank Lakeview. "To have an opportunity to support our local, small businesses and to be part of a fun and interactive shopping experience in our neighborhood made the experience extra special."

Almauger agreed, "Shopping locally is not only vital for the health and vitality of our community, but is essential to community building."

Shoppers can stroll and vote for their favorite display via www.northalsted.com or in person at Fifth Third Bank, 3601 N. Broadway, through Dec. 31. Voters are automatically entered to win Northlasted Gift Cards, just for casting a ballot.

Santa and his elves provide seasonal spirits and yuletide cheer for the Window Walk Kick-Off Event beginning at 2 p.m. at Space Park, 815 West Roscoe.
