Successful street fair brings thousands to Boystown
Chicago, IL -
Crowded streets, delicious food and endless shopping marked the 31st Annual Northalsted Market Days street fair, Aug. 11 and 12, in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood.
Thousands of people from all around the country attended the annual festival, which spanned six city blocks and offered entertainment, food and arts and crafts vendors.
Throughout the two-day period over 40 performances took to three entertainment stages, including four-time Grammy winner Olivia Newton-John, Sheena Easton, The Pointer Sisters and Karmin along with LGBT acts Matt Zarley, Eric Himan, Adam Barta and Tony-winner Levi Kreis.
Northalsted Market Days is presented by and benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance.
Gay Chicago TV, a web-based TV station offering high quality and diverse content for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, released a video recapping the 2012 Northalsted Market Days.
