Thousands will vote June 13-25 to name Dragtastic's EOY

While traditional pageants may provide skilled and professional judges for a specific criteria judging, Dragtastic.com wanted to give the fans and fellow entertainers the opportunity to recognize their choice for the BEST of the BEST. We feel this is an extremely important level of acknowledgement as the fans and fellow entertainers have the opportunity to do what a panel of judges can't - they have the opportunity to get to know the entertainers on and off the stage. They can bring to the voting process a more personal aspect to this honor. Everyone at Dragtastic.com truly believes that this honor is a great representation as it shows that not only the winners, but the nominees are picked not only for their talent, but also for their inner beauty and pride that they bring to the art. This is recognized by the harshest judges of all - their fans - and that is why we believe this is one of the most well rounded honors available today.
In 2004, over 1,600 visitors nominated and voted for their favorite Female impersonator - and now we're preparing for an even bigger 2005. With over 2.7 million hits every month, we are reaching out for you to nominate and vote for your favorite Chicagoland Female Impersonator, National Female Impersonator and National Male Impersonator!
- Our official process is done 100% online via the World Wide Web. In addition, we break it down into two separate steps - a nomination process - and the official voting process.
NOMINATION PROCESS: Our first step is to allow for online visitors and fans the ability to nominate their choice (over a specific time period) for our EOY honor via an online form. Not only does the form ask for the entertainer's name, we also ask why the visitor believes their choice should be added to the ballot. Once the nominations are officially closed, the complete list of nominations are reviewed and compiled - and only the TOP 10 nominees receiving the most nominations make it to the ballot. Once the official nominees are determined - each nominee is notified via email of their nomination.
VOTING PROCESS: Our second step is to make the online voting available to visitors of the site. Each category will display up to 10 nominees.
The 2005 nominations will be accepted from June 1-June 11, 2005. Online voting will be accepted from June 13-June 25, 2005. The Official Winners will be announced June 27, 2005.
