Born in the Phillippines, Oskar has been DJing for over 16 years. His passion for music began in Detroit playing for wedding receptions as well as for high school and house parties. After his military service in the United States Marine Corps, Oskar’s professional DJ career in Michigan grew and included nightclub residencies at Menjo’s, The Temple, and guest spots at The Dunes Resort. He has opened for nationally recognized DJs such as David Knapp, Billy Carroll, and Barry Harris.
Oskar has lived in Chicago for the past three years and plays his funky, latin, and tribal house beats as a resident DJ at Madrigal’s, Jackhammer, and Chicago Beef’s monthly lockdown parties. He’s also had a past residency at Hydrate.
Currently, Oskar is into his second year producing monthly promo mix CDs infused with his signature style of “feel good” house music. Plans are in progress for his future performances called DEEP - a fusion of deep jazz and latin house.
