Chicago, IL - After selling her Lakeview home in just one day, Rosie O'Donnell is packing up and moving her show to New York City.

The report comes just a week after ChicagoPride.com
published news
that O'Donnell, 49, was shopping around her 6,000-square-foot multi-million dollar Lakeview home.

Real estate agent Paul Blackburn told ChicagoPride.com that the five bedroom property was
formally listed
for $2.5 million on Monday. The home, located at 1517 W Grace, sold Tuesday.

A spokeswoman told the Chicago Tribune that O'Donnell had bought the house "impulsively."

O'Donnell became one of Chicago's highest profile LGBTs-in-residence when she bought the home in Lakeview just 5 months ago.

According to a Huffington Post insider, "The Rosie Show" will move operations from the old HARPO studio on Chicago's Near West Side to New York because Rosie is very much a part of the city.

"Instead of standing up for what she knew in her gut, she agreed to film out of Chicago and even work with Oprah's old staff rather than hire her own," the insider said.

The insider indicated it would be easier for O'Donnell to fly guests to the Big Apple rather than to the Windy City.

"The Rosie Show" debuted in October to 497,000 viewers, but fell to an average 204,000 viewers last month. The show was downsized earlier this year when the studio audience was eliminated.

O'Donnell has yet to make an official statement.
