Chicago, IL - Born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois, Elliot Torres moved to New York City alone at the age of 17 in May of 1994. He attended Pace University where he graduated in 1998 with a BA in Communications. He has worked behind the scenes in the fashion, music, television, and magazine industries. His experiences have taken him throughout the U.S., the Caribbean and Mexico.

In the summer of 2002, his debut collection of poetry, “Five Years of Solitary” was released to an enthusiastic response. It chronicled his experiences in New York City as a gay Puerto Rican man.

“Undaunted: A Poetic Journey” is an account of the second phase of his life in New York City. The volume takes readers on a journey through this young writer’s emotional and professional growth from the age of 22-27. Elliot Torres resides in New York City.
