Nashville, Tennessee - Country superstar Wynonna Judd is being slammed by a conservative Christian group for agreeing to perform on a cruise for lesbians.

The Caribbean cruise will set sail January 29. The Traditional Values Coalition calls it "disgraceful".

"Wynonna Judd has been misled by the mainstream media on the origins of same-sex attractions and the self-destructive results of such attractions," the organization says in a statement released Monday.

"Her involvement in providing entertainment for female homosexuals should conflict with her Christian faith. Judd should be encouraged to cancel her tour."

TVC is encouraging its members to contact Judd through her website to voice their disapproval.

"Urge her to study what the Bible says in both the Old and New Testaments about homosexuality and encourage her to contact Exodus International to learn how faith in Christ has set men and women free from bondage to this life-controlling condition," TVC tells its followers.

The cruise was organized by Olivia, a tour company that specializes in lesbian travel. Tour organizer Amy Errett says, "She's much-loved and requested by our guests."

In a statement Wynonna said she "is looking forward to her Olivia debut and performing for such a remarkable audience."

The four-day cruise will leave Cape Canveral, Florida, and drop anchor in Freeport, Bahamas and at Half Moon Cay, a private island.

Other stars who are scheduled to perform include comedians Elvira Kurt and Lisa Koch as well as musicians Zoe Lewis and Halcyon.
