Chicago, IL - Northalsted Market Days, the Midwest's largest outdoor street fest now in its 30th year, opens today at 11 a.m. and runs through 10 p.m. Sunday on what promises to be a beautiful summer weekend.

More than 100,000 people from across the country are expected to converge on Halsted Street in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood to enjoy non-stop music and an eclectic mix of over 400 vendors.

Among the 40-plus performers on Northalsted Market Days' four music stages will be Darren Criss, who plays openly-gay Blaine on Glee, Gloria Gaynor, Lisa Lisa, Prince Poppycock, Eric Himan and local favorites 16 Candles and Dot Dot Dot.

The 24-year-old Criss and his band will perform at 4:30 p.m. Saturday on the Rivers Casino Stage at Addison and Halsted.

Another big draw are the food vendors with offerings that promise something for every taste.

The annual event, which spans six city blocks between Belmont Avenue and Addison along Halsted St., runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

The stages will be set-up at Belmont Ave., Roscoe, Aldine and Addison.
