Chicago, IL - Rosie O'Donnell's new talk show on the Oprah Winfrey Network will be calling Chicago home. The lesbian comedian, actress and talk show host will tape her new show at the legendary Harpo Studios on the West Side.

"There is an enormous personal respect and value to that little bit of real estate to Oprah," Sheri Salata, president of Harpo Studios, told the Chicago Sun-Times. "I think it's safe to say they have an excellent relationship."

Oprah Winfrey will vacate the studios when she signs off her nationally syndicated program after 25 season in May. Harpo employees were told of the decision, that could retain jobs, on Monday.

O'Donnell hosted "The Rosie O'Donnell Show", which was taped in New York City, from 1996-2002. In 1998 she won an Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show. Later she joined "The View" for a one year stint.

O'Donnell hosts her daily Sirius XM "Rosie Radio" show, which is set to end in June as O'Donnell begins work on her new talk show.

The 49-year-old O'Donnell came out lesbian in a January 21, 2002 appearance on the television comedy "Will & Grace." In 2004, O'Donnell married Kelli Carpenter. O'Donnell lives in Nyack, N.Y., where she shares custody with Carpenter. She says she will keep her home in New York and commute to Chicago.

O'Donnell continues supports a number of LGBT causes and issues, including gay parenting.

The new one-hour daytime talk show will launch this fall on OWN.
