Hyderabad, India -
A TV news "investigation" has outed several gay men in the Indian city of Hyderabad, leading to at least one man attempting to commit suicide.
The TV 9 Telugu reporter found gay men through a dating website called "PlanetRomeo," and then called them and secretly recorded conversations with them. The tapes were then played along with images of the men from their online profiles.
PinkNews.co.uk said that the television news crews also recorded undercover video inside a gay club.
The script said that the men were "slaves to [a] lifestyle which is against the natural way".
One of the men who was outed in the piece has tried to kill himself. Another has stopped showing up at work.
