“Never meant to hurt Jon," Tiffany tweeted.

As the Pink Pulse reported last week, Tiffany accidentally outed New Kids on the Block Jonathan Knight as gay. Now the 80's pop diva is apologizing – via Twitter.

Last week on an episode of Bravo's "Watch What Happens: Live," host Andy Cohen asked if she ever dated one of the New Kids, she responded: "I did, with Jonathan Knight. The shy one. He's fabulous. But he became gay later."

Knight has never made a public statement regarding his sexuality, so Tiffany took some heat for outing him.

"Really didn't know that was the wrong thing to say," she tweeted Friday. "Never meant to hurt Jon."

Knight replied, "Tiff, please don't lose any sleep over it! I know you weren't being mean and I found it to be funny!"

"I'd also appreciate it if the people talking trash about Tiffany and Deborah knock it off and stop being nasty!"

During the public exchange on Twitter, Knight never confirmed his sexuality but he did seem to laugh it all off.

"I'm so devastated ..." he tweeted. "How can I not remember getting facials??????"

Knight was responding to Tiffany's admission on the show that the pair would get facials together.

The 42-year-old Jonathan is the older brother of Jordan Knight.
