Washington, DC -
Chick-fil-A is under fire for its sponsorship of a marriage seminar in Pennsylvania presented by the leading anti-gay group in the Keystone State.
The February event co-sponsored by Georgia-based Chick-fil-A is called "The Art of Marriage," and it's intended to be a launching point for Pennsylvania to return to "the biblical definition of marriage."
The Pennsylvania Family Institute has been a leading opponent of marriage equality.
This is not the first time Chick-fil-A, has been connected to anti-gay groups. Change.org reports the company has given money to Focus on the Family, the anti-gay Colorado group founded by James Dobson.
Upon reports of Chick-fil-A's participation, the Pennsylvania Family Institute web site has removed Chick-Fil-A from their primary marketing materials.
Chick-fil-A tweeted Tuesday, "For those seeing reports of a CFA sponsorship w/ the Penn Family Inst, we are looking into the issue and will provide a response ASAP."
The company maintains fundamentalist roots and according to a company profile in Forbes magazine, Chick-fil-A's corporate mission is to "glorify God."
