Very Special 2006 Gay Games & POWER UP Benefit, Meet and Greet Melissa Etheridge

Be one of only 40 guests at an intimate meet-and-greet, hosted by rock legend Melissa Etheridge this Friday, March 19, at 6:45 p.m. at the House of Blues, as a joint benefit for the Gay Games VII, to be held in Chicago in 2006, and POWER UP, the influential Hollywood-based networking organization for lesbians in the entertainment industry.
This brief meet-and-greet will be held just prior to Melissa Etheridge's much anticipated concert, and will include an opportunity for each attendee to meet Etheridge and get one item autographed. Sorry, but there will be no photographs allowed. Although very brief, the meet-and-greet will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shake hands with one of the greatest rockers of all time, while supporting two great causes: the Gay Games VII and POWER UP.
Gay Games VII is a quadrennial international LGBT sports and culture
festival that promotes LGBT equality by fostering an international LGBT sports movement, building community across borders, eradicating negative stereotypes, and promoting wellness and camaraderie in the LGBT community worldwide. They will be held July 15-22, 2006.
POWER UP's mission is to promote the visibility and integration of gay women in entertainment, the arts, and all forms of media. POWER UP is a professional organization for women to unite, create, share, grow, learn, give and belong. POWER UP believes that as long as we (GLBT community) are making our movies and telling our stories, we are keeping the world informed about us, our lives and our contributions to society and history.
Tickets are $200 per person for the meet-and-greet ONLY, or $280 per
person for the meet-and-greet PLUS a ticket to the SOLD OUT concert that night. That's right - the concert is sold out to the public, but we have access to a few tickets. All benefit and concert tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be 21 years old or older and pre-payment via credit card is required.

and click on the Buy Now buttons on that page. The meet-and-greet will take place at The House of Blues, 329 N. Dearborn, in the room adjacent to Etheridge's dressing room. Each person must arrive at the Main Entrance to the House of Blues by 6:45 pm. At 7 PM, a representative of Melissa Etheridge will arrive and escort everyone upstairs to meet Melissa Etheridge. If you are late you will not be allowed in after the group has gone upstairs. If you are late, we will not be able to issue any refunds.
