Fusion's anniversary celebration is Friday, Nov. 12 at Roscoe's

Chicago, IL - When Internet dance radio station Fusion Radio Chicago launched in 2003, the goal was simple and pure: to create a permanent dance music outlet in Chicago. Seven years later, Fusion marks a milestone in Chicago's history by becoming the longest running dance radio station in the Windy City.

"Fusion has refined internet radio, broadcasted dance music to the masses and broke down walls on what an Internet station could do," Fusion Radio and Television Executive Director Gregory Schweitzer told ChicagoPride.com. "For our next chapter, Fusion will continue to embrace new technology as Internet radio becomes readily more available and grow with it in every step."

With new studios located in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, the dance music powerhouse ranks as the third largest commercial Internet dance station and the Chicago area's No. 1 online radio station. Fusion's dance mix reaches a worldwide audience through Internet radio streams and applications for the iPhone and Android-based mobile devices.

The station, which operates as a local and national brand under Fusion Radio Chicago, Fusion Dance Radio, Fusion Dance TV and Pop Fusion Radio, sees major opportunity for growth.

"There is a blue print, complete with drawings and everything" joked Manny Esparza, Fusion Radio Chicago Programming Director. "I can tell you that everything revolves around music and the future of it!"

Fusion Radio Chicago will celebrate its seventh anniversary on Friday, Nov. 12 with a special event featuring Wynter Gordon, Erika Jayne, Vassy, Kaci Battaglia and Sylvia Tosun performing live at Roscoe's Tavern, 3356 N. Halsted.

Highlighting the night are a line-up of the hottest new dance artists pumping out their latest hits. Upcoming dance artist Wynter Gordon performing her breakthrough hit "Dirty Talk," a collaboration with the red-hot DJ and producer David Guetta. Erika Jayne will tear up the stage with her circuit sensation "Pretty Mess." Ultra Records recording artist Vassy will treat the crowd with her summer hit "History" while Sea to Sun's Sylvia Tosun dubbed "the global queen of the dance floor" brings it home with "Above All."

"Fusion has brought the best dance music strong for 7 years, and I can think of nothing more appropriate to celebrate with our fans than bringing the hottest new divas who bring it strong on stage," said Fusion Radio personality Dave Tripper, who hosts live every Friday and Saturday night on Fusion Radio Chicago.

The anniversary event, with performances starting at 9:30 p.m., is open to all guests 21 and older with no cover or admission, courtesy of Roscoe's.
