Log Cabin Republicans ask Supreme Court to stop DADT enforcement

Lawyers for the conservative Log Cabin Republicans filed an emergency request with the Supreme Court on Friday, asking the court to stop enforcement of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
DADT was declared unconstitutional in September, but the Obama administration and the Justice Department got a stay put on that ruling.
"It is unfortunate the Obama Justice Department has forced the Log Cabin Republicans to go to the Supreme Court," Log Cabin Executive Director R. Clarke Cooper told CNN.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff are scheduled to deliver a report on the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy to the President and Congress in early December.
President Obama has stated that he supports the repeal of DADT, but that it must be done legislatively, not through the Court.
