St. Patrick's Day festivities continue through Friday, March 17 with Green Glow Party
The week-long celebration of St. Patrick’s Day kicked off on Saturday, March 11, when the Chicago River was dyed green and culminates Friday, March 17, on the official holiday.
Celebrants hit Sidetrack in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood and other nearby bars. There was, er, is, green beer in and around Boystown and Sidetrack has Green Frozen Margaritas, as the holiday is sponsored by Jameson and Miller Lite.
“Sidetrack’s St. Patrick’s Parade Saturday was a great party that lasted all day and all night, (with sales) numbers that brought us back to pre-pandemic business,” said Sidetrack general manager Bradley Balof. “Everyone was in a great mood. St. Patrick’s Day has a reputation for being rowdy and out of control, but, by and large, patrons had a great time while being respectful.”
This Friday, Sidetrack is throwing a St. Pat’s Green Glow Party, sponsored by Men's Room Chicago. Doors open at 1 p.m., with Drag Race Season 15 from 7-9 p.m.
