Hearty Boys Celebrates Mardi Gras in Grand Style

Hearty Boys, 3404 North Halsted, Chicago, a popular café and caterer in Lakeview, will host a special brunch and dinner menu in honor of Mardi Gras on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Hearty Boys is popular for its Cajun-inspired brunch menu every weekend. They are the only Chicago restaurant that features New Orleans favorite Café DuMond coffee and beignets. Some of the items featured on the restaurant's brunch menu include Cajun Crab Eggs Benedict, French Country Tarts, Eggs in a Basket, and Creole-baked French Toast.
The Hearty Boy's Mardi Gras menu will feature the restaurant's regular brunch offerings along with special dinner items that include: Po'Boys, Fried Oyster, Catfish, and Shrimp Platters, Pulled Pork, Andouille with peppers and onions, Roast Beef with cheddar and muffaletta, Cajun meatloaf with buttermilk mashed potatoes and greens, Pan fried catfish with fried green tomatoes and black-eyed peas, and Tasso Stuffed Blackened Chicken Breast with red beans and rice and maque choux.
In addition, Hearty Boys will host a variety of special Mardi Gras desserts, including the always-famous "King Cake," a century-old New Orleans tradition.
