Rhinebeck, New York - Gay event planner Bryan Rafanelli can't legally get married in New York State, but he planned the wedding of the year this past weekend: the marriage of Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky.

Rafanelli started working on the wedding in December, scouting out three New York state locations for the bride and groom to choose from. He told the New York Times they decided on Astor Courts because it was private and was relatively straightforward from a security standpoint.

Rafanelli denied rumors that the invitations cost $150 apiece. He also denied rumors that the porta-potties cost $15,000, although he did tell the paper they were "appropriate."

Although Chelsea Clinton is a vegan, the reception menu offered "everything," Rafanelli told the paper. The wedding cake and the cookies delivered in straw bags to the guests were gluten-free.

Rafanelli said that in spite of Former President Bill Clinton's notorious problems with punctuality, the ceremony began almost exactly on time.

Rafanelli refused to comment on the cost of the wedding and said his suppliers all signed confidentiality agreements with his company, Rafanelli Events.

"I know Chelsea and Marc wanted to have the highest quality," he said. "That doesn't mean the most expensive; it just means really a beautiful wedding."
