Allegedly had sex with a 17-year old boy, filmed two boys having sex with others
U.S. District Attorneys prosecuting Robert Sylvester Kelly, popularly known as R Kelly, want jurors in an upcoming sex trafficking trial to know about the singer's predation of a 17-year old boy, and a second boy.
The 54-year old Chicago-native pleaded not guilty to charges relating to abusing six women and a girl. A Friday court filing shared more allegations, this time against underage boys.
Among those new allegations is the predation of a 17-year old boy Kelly met in a Chicago McDonald's restaurant. After learning he was an aspiring musician, the Grammy Award-winner invited the youth to his music studio.
Prosecutors say Kelly asked the youth what he would do to make it into the music industry which led to a sexual event.
Furthermore, Kelly learned of the youth's access to a juror sitting on his 2008 child pornography case. He asked the youth to participate in an act of jury tampering. It is not known whether or not the youth acquiesced to the request.
The court filing also explains that the youth introduced Kelly to a teenage friend.
The two boys were filmed by Kelly having sex with other people.
Kelly had an ongoing sexual relationship with the second boy years later, suggesting an act of grooming.
The U.S. District Attorneys are introducing the information to prove that the charges Kelly is now facing is part of a larger pattern of a criminal predator.
Kelly is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
