Broadway in Chicago always has something going on. This week there are two closings. Memphis, the Tony Award winning musical, wraps it up on December 4th. I was pleasantly surprised with the heart and soul of this show. Kind of like Cadillac Records meets Dream Girls, this critically acclaimed undertaking deserved more notice before its swan song at the end of the week.

Another closer is Ann, the story of Ann Richards, who was governor of Texas back in the day. Heading to Washington for a more political run, this endeavor showcases the talents of Holland Taylor from television's Two and a Half Men with a southern twang.
Don't miss the tour de force before eventually making its way to Broadway in New York.

Feel the holiday cheer as Donny & Marie bring their Christmas in Chicago show to the Ford Center. If you want to make the yuletide gay then La Cage Aux Folles has George Hamilton shaking a tail feather this month at the Bank of America Theatre.

Let My People Come is a light hearted offering at Stage 773 that continues through the end of December. Think of it like a naughtier Glee.
Gayco gets Lit! starting this week with a sketch comedy revue and Hell and Handbag brings back Rudolph the Red Hosed Reindeer for a landing at Mary's Attic.
This holiday season consider a gift certificate to your favorite theatre group and support live performances where anything can happen!
