THURSDAY, JUNE 11

This year will mark the 40th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York, the birth of the current LGBT Movement. The Center on Halsted is hosting a Roundtable discussion to talk about where we've been and where we still need to go. Starting at 7PM, $5.

Put your dancing shoes on and head down to The Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park for the kick off of the 13th Annual Chicago SummerDance. Starting this week and running through August 23rd, every Thurs-Sun you can learn how to rumba, cha-cha or salsa. Check the site for full details. Dance on!

Stop by Salute Wine Bar - 46 E Superior - from 6-8PM for a Reception benefiting BEHIV. Joyce "Peaches" Faison will perform some delicious jazz along with appetizers and drink specials. Tickets are $50 per person.

Blogger Kate Harding, of shapely prose, will discuss her latest work "Lessons from the Fat-O-Sphere..." and how dieting isn't everything it's cracked up to be. Starts at 7:30PM

Well now you can catch a screening of Rare Films from the Baseball Hall of Fame at the Block Museum Cinema at 7PM, admission is free and you'll get to watch clips from the 1954 World Series between NY Giants and Cleveland Indians as well as Willie Mays 511th home run.

Those boys and girls of Guerrilla Gay Bar South Loop are heading over to Plymouth - 327 S Plymouth - for this months edition. Plymouth is near almost every CTA stop so you have no reason not to join the growing crowd starting at 9PM until closing at 2AM. Who knows who you'll see there.

Oh that crazy Judy Tenuta will be hitting the boards of the Lakeshore Theater this weekend with a show tonight and one again tomorrow at 8PM. I'm sure she'll be breaking out her Accordion - she always cracked me up. Shows are at 8PM and tickets are only $25

Sex Workers Outreach Project - Chicago will host a screening of Happy Endings "an intriguing exploration of the Asian massage parlor industry" at the Leather Archives & Museum theater. $5-10 at 7PM.

Windy City Gay Chorus presents "Walking Hand in Hand" a 30th Anniversary Reunion Concert at the Center on Halsted at 5PM & 8PM, tickets are $20 and can be purchased online.

The Sixth World Naked Bike Ride will take the streets of Chicago tonight - sometime and somewhere in the city. The Naked Bike ride is an urban legend that you hear so much about but never really believe because it's such a random event. Hope you see some naked people this weekend or perhaps you want to do it. The Chicago Force, Chicago's only women's tackle football team, will face off against the Detroit Demolition at 3PM, tickets are $10 and the Chicago Spirit Brigade will be cheering them on.
