Autumn is here with a vengeance and I hope it's not giving us a glimpse of what Winter holds in store for us. It may be cold outside but things are heating up on the Protest Prop 8 front. If you do nothing else this weekend you should really think about joining in on the Protest Against Cinemark Theaters in Evanston this Saturday at 5PM, check HERE for more details on the event. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20

Join the Chicago Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce at this months "Mix & Mingle" at Nacional 27 for this terrific networking event. $30 will get you an open bar from 6PM-7:30PM as well as passed Tapas.

There is a special "Preview" Sale at the 20th Annual Holiday Sale at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago . The Center on Halsted observes World AIDS Day with an exhibit and gallery opening of "Compliance: The Pattern of Living with HIV" by Cal Calvird. The exhibit will be on display through January 5th and is a graphic representation of HIV drug treatment over the course of a lifetime. An opening reception will be held tonight from 6:30PM-9:30PM at the Center's 2nd floor living room.

A protest is schedule at the Evanston Century Theaters - 1715 Church Street, Evanston - at 5PM today. Grab your comfortable shoes, noisemakers and signs to join in with your Queer Brothers and Sisters to let Evanston know that we won't stand by and let this kind of bigotry and hate occur.

The Muppet Extravaganza continues at the Gene Siskel Film Center with a showing of Labyrinth at 2PM today and a showing of The Art of Puppetry and Storytelling at 4PM.

Someone's in the kitchen with Bertha. Bertha Mason will teach you some top notch cooking skills to help you get through this holiday season at Mary's Attic tonight at 7:30. Tonight Bertha will be "Jive Turkey Talking", tickets are $10 and include beer, pie and perhaps a surprise guest.
