Toronto is Canada's largest city and the capital of the province of Ontario. Located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, it's a short jaunt from the Windy City by airplane. Travelers in Illinois can fly directly from Chicago Midway International Airport to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport via Porter Airlines.
Avoid the hustle and bustle of O'Hare International Airport to enjoy a peaceful experience with more spacious environments normally found in Midway. Porter Airlines operates three hubs and flies to a variety of destinations. The friendly and stylish staff adds to the boutique atmosphere cultivated by the airline. With a smaller aircraft, carry-ons will have to be checked and seating might feel cozy with no middle seats. Perks include two free baggage checks, full-size complimentary snacks and a VIPorter plan. Drinks are served in glassware, not the usual disposable cups and little touches like this make a difference to guests who fly the Canadian skies.
After landing, it's a quick Uber ride to Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville at 387 Bloor Street E. This unique property opened its doors in February of 2023 and has 184 rooms to explore. There are multiple entrances and exits, with the lobby located on the second floor. Designed by Studio Munge, this luxurious hotel provides a modern setting with sleek furniture surrounded by dynamic art. The views are spectacular and the Yorkville neighborhood offers many options for visitors just outside of the property. There's a 24-hour fitness center and a warm lap pool to enjoy.
After checking in, head to your suite full of sophistication and technology. With the touch of a button, the blackout curtains open electronically and the lighting is controlled by a wall-mounted pad.
Amenities include a Serta Canopy bed, Wi-Fi and Thank You by Hunter bathroom products. Relax while lounging around in the robe hanging in the closet and rest your head on the cloudy white pillows found on the comfortable bed.
There are two dining options for guests on the property. Día Restaurant & Lounge serves up outstanding cuisine with first-rate service from the personable staff.
The street-level coffee shop Virtu Café is the perfect place to stop for those on the go who want to pick up a coffee or grab a fresh pastry
The Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville was strategically placed in an area full of nearby attractions. Whether you like to shop until you drop, explore historic museums or consume food from local vendors, it's easy to find something to do.
This neighborhood-focused hotel hits all the right notes when staying in the Dominion of Canada.
