Phaedra Parks flips out for a drag brunch

Folks arrived early to a very special drag brunch produced by Flip Phone Events Sunday on April 27, 2024. Eager fans took the elevator up to the iconic Macy's Walnut Room for a pre-show meet and greet with a shimmering guest host. Known for her many reality television show appearances Phaedra Parks met with fans before the show scheduled for later in the program.

The previous Bravo Real Housewife of Atlanta gave off retro vibes in a shiny silver suit made by Balenciaga. She took her time chatting with attendees and joking around often as line funneled through for photographs.

When the doors opened for general admission ticket holders the brunch turned into a game of musical chairs. The ravenous crowd ran to stake out a spot with a good view. There were dollar bills in every corner of the massive venue with change offered for those that brought the larger denominations.

Local bearded drag queen Lucy Stoole laid down the ground rules, but at the same time, stressed the importance of fun. Having a good time was not a problem for ticket holders as RuPaul Drag Racer DiDa Ritz hopped from table to table gathering up tips while guests dived into their individual meals. Entrees included Walnut French Toast, Chicken & Waffles and the classic Walnut Room Burger, among other options.

Diners sipped on mimosas throughout the festivities and finished with desserts such as a Honduran chocolate brownie.

Stoole had a ball encouraging birthday revelers to earn their own coins by dancing and working the room. The LGBTQ+ community and their allies celebrated that afternoon with dynamic entertainment that ran smoothly like a well-oiled machine.

This drag brunch team served up a delightful time that continues to be celebrated throughout the year with rich programming. The secret is out and even Parks was sharing it in Chicago!
