Chef Tyler Florence is serving up something new at Esquire by Cooper's Hawk, 58 East Oak Street. Debuting a menu fit for a king or queen at this location with some of his signature dishes is a treat that locals can enjoy until January 5, 2023.

Florence is the owner and executive chef of both Wayfare Tavern and Miller & Lux in San Francisco. Many may recognize him from numerous television appearances such as Food 911, Worst Cooks in America, The Great Food Truck Race and Bite Club on the Food Network.

This James Beard Award nominee has presented a treat displaying his tricks just in time for Halloween. Start off with the caviar doughnuts that sound like a dessert but are actually an appetizer with custard and Kaluga caviar. The steak tartare will certainly satisfy once the egg yolk is oozing to run over the wagyu beef. Another gluten-free option is the Louisiana shrimp cocktail with a Fresno chili cocktail sauce.

Moving on to the entrees the wild pacific halibut is a lighter fish to sample with brown butter and caper sauce and served with cauliflower although most sides are separate. Don't sleep on the Yukon gold potatoes puree and the double-creamed kale to accompany the massive meat selection. The 46 oz. tomahawk ribeye is a must-try item. Prepare for a grand entrance with a hunk of bone-in black Angus that comes with a trio of mouth-watering sauces including tarragon bearnaise, peppercorn Bordelaise and horseradish.

For dessert, the apple pavlova was a unique choice for Florence. It is a combination of buttermilk cider cake, spiced apples and caramel cremeux. Wash it down with coffee or a spiced rum Manhattan that is a mix of Calvados brandy, sweet vermouth, demerara and bitters.

Cooper's Hawk is known for its vast wine selection and Florence has brought along two of his newest wines by Miller & Lux a chardonnay and a cabernet from his restaurant as well as certain menu items.

Florence has curated a carefully orchestrated menu for patrons of Cooper's Hawk that will satisfy the pickiest of eaters throughout the busy holiday season. Visit a historic location while shopping in an upscale district with a hungry stomach today!
