North Coast Music Festival danced into SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois in 2022 after a successful move from Union Park in 2018. The organizers were smart to migrate because the attendance and experience continue to grow yearly.

For 11 years the festivities over Labor Day Weekend have evolved. What was originally a celebration of many genres of music, North Coast has been focused on dance music with heavy beats for the last few years.

Judging from the young crowd that travels over to this congested area in the suburbs this made sense. The setup is much better and the bleeding noise from various stages plaguing ARC Music Festival was not a problem for NCMF this year.

The massive stadium traps the sound well with the surrounding walls leaving the vendors on the ground floor to do their business. Water was crucial for the health of participants because of heat and exhaustion after dancing.

VIP areas for North Coast are strongly recommended going forward. Stage left of the headlining Stadium Stage had an exclusive area for ticket holders to be up close to world-class acts such as Armin Van Buuren, Illenium and Diplo. If you have listened to Fisher's new music head over to Apple Music or Spotify immediately!

Private bathrooms and secluded bars with stadium seats are perks that can sometimes make or break an experience for a festivalgoer.

The new platinum VIP pass expands on that idea with an open bar and complimentary food within a lounge.

After expending a lot of energy, patrons had opportunities to unwind at The Rainbow Lounge or could drown out the noise with a silent disco. The Chill Dome returned with full air conditioning indoors and was another place to zone out from the outdoor party.

There were numerous photo opportunities around the festival and the boat this year was a nice touch. Security was trained on allowing the number of guests who could board the land-bound vessel and things ran without a hitch.

The Incendia Fire Pit was a really fun area to explore with various enclosures that made for more unique dancing environments.

It has taken a while for this music festival to find its footing but the creators have found ways to expand their vision even more.
