New Jersey native Cari Fletcher is an out and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community who is determined to not be placed in a box in terms of her life and talent. This singer continues to work her way to the top after competing on the premiere season of The X Factor and pursuing music in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was signed to Capitol Records and released the well-written single "Undrunk" to critical acclaim. FLETCHER is quickly evolving into an artist to watch as she is slated to rock out at Lollapalooza this summer in 2022.

In the meantime, her loyal following were all treated to a tour that landed her at the House of Blues Chicago on April 1. Curtains covered a large set of a building representing New York City. Her band played from inside the spray-painted structure and FLETCHER entered from the top of the construct for dramatic purposes with the song "girls girls girls."

She worked the front of the stage with "Forever" and had people dancing to the peppy track "Cherry."

It was a mostly female-presenting crowd that night and this smart artist has tapped into a lesbian fanbase that will follow her for a long time. They hung on her every lyric and screamed out their love throughout her set. The sold-out venue needed to pump up the volume when FLETCHER spoke on the microphone though. The back half of the room lost focus when they couldn't hear her speaking after songs because of sound issues.

That didn't stop them from throwing clothing and gifts up on stage for the strikingly charismatic singer. She returned the favor by signing body parts and shirts for spectators in the front. She climbed out of the pit and continued her setlist right after.

Her cover of Billie Eilish's "Happier Than Ever" blended well with her other songs and at one point she stated that she has no desire to be a commercial artist. That only endeared her more to the captivated audience who were clearly enthralled with her and themselves as well. The sample of Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" played and described the amount of smooching going on in the room that night in the iconic concert venue on Dearborn Street.

It was a night of diversity where all shapes and sizes were celebrated and having gender-neutral bathrooms completed the picture and vibe of the concert.

After an encore, FLETCHER left the building and packed up the facsimile of a building for another stop on her tour. Her stagehands definitely earn their paychecks to support her art on the road and give her ticketholders something to see.
