Roti can mean many different things, from "roast" to a type of flatbread, but Roti as a restaurant chain stands for high quality Mediterranean cuisine served at a modest price. This casual hot spot has its headquarters in Chicago, Illinois with 42 locations nationally.

The team, thanks to Culinary Director Venecia Willis has slowly rolled out new menu items, including family feast dinners that are perfect for curbside pickup.

Roti at 1012 W. Randolph Street is a convenient place to pop in a for quick bite of food while in the West Loop area of Chicago.

Diners can always build their bowls, but sometimes it is best to let the experts assemble it. The Fire and Rice combo has just the right amount of spice to the tender steak on top of delicious saffron rice served with a smattering of tahini sauce.

The cleverly titled Flip the Bird bowl has grilled chicken in a salad of carrots, slaw and black lentils. It's a great summer dish that won't make partakers feel heavy afterwards.

The Beetlovers hummus hits all the right notes with roasted beets, amba mayo and arugula. Amba is a green mango condiment found in Israeli cuisine that mixes well with mayo to make a creamy sauce.

Your wish is granted with I Dream of Tahini which includes chicken, tabbouleh and watermelon radishes. Oh, and Jerry had a Lil' Lamb with lamb shawarma, pickled onions and cabbage slaw and my fleece was full to go!

Yes, I am familiar with puns and this place knows what to do with them transforming them into memorable dishes that will have customers begging for more. I wolfed down a Street Pita sandwich packed with chicken that already deserves a return trip for seconds.

For dessert, pick up a chocolate chip cookie or baklava to satisfy any sweet tooth. Finish your expereince by washing it all down with a mandarin cardamom or hibiscus limonata fresh straight from the tap.
