The three day music festival Riot Fest rocked from Sept. 13-15 signaling the end of summer.

Friday continues to book a strong lineup with The Flaming Lips and Blink 182.

Saturday had a flamboyant frontman with The Struts, strong female singer with Pvris and jam packed following for Wu Tang Clan.

Sunday finished things off with the gay empowered set list of Village People, classic camp from the gay and lesbian fronted The B 52s and a trans lead singer with Against Me!

There were plenty of queer representatives amongst the thousands of attendees over the weekend as well being mixed into the artist lineup.

Butter Stamos returned thanks to sculptor Jim Victor and was located in a temperature controlled display surrounded by canrival rides and food stations.

In 2015, Riot Fest left Humboldt Park for the spaciousness of Douglas Park. This year the weather was fairly cooperative and the cleanup bill was just over $30,000.

Complaints from locals in the area were down once again this year and hosting a job fair to employee them seems to have helped with opinions.

Who knows what the future holds for the successful music festival, but the organizers continue to make smart moves to solve problems that arise.
