With warmer weather finally hitting Chicago, it's time to explore some rooftops. Looking for some fresh air after being cooped up all winter? The Downtown area has some excellent options that won't break the bank this summer.

VU Rooftop Bar at 133 E. Cermak Road has created an immersive experience that will make you not want to come down to earth. From incredible views to executive chef Nolan Narut's upscale cuisine, this is a spot that needs to be seen to be believed.

The Brazilian steakhouse ZED451 at 739 N. Clark Street celebrates 10 years in River North by standing out from the pack. Head upstairs to witness a rooftop with private spaces that is garanteed to pack in the crowds. With a limited capacity, arrive early to secure a place to relax that has a secluded feel to it.

The skilled bartenders are not scared to experiment with drinks and don't forget the Brazilian signature drink of a caipirinha made with rum.

Talk about some fresh AIRE, the rooftop bar at 100 W. Monroe at the Hyatt Centric The Loop Chicago not only has a drop dead gorgeous view, but a new mural that is presented by Beauty & Brawn. Designed and created by artist Onur, this 3,8000 square foot mural will surely have people talking.

Mix in with locals and travelers with an open air atmosphere that offers umbrellas for sunny days and private event options.

Another rooftop that has plenty of space for private events is The Godfrey Hotel Chicago with the IO Urban Roofscape. Whether holding a book launch event or looking for some bottle service to feel VIP, this hopping River North hangout has a unique feel to it.

The indoor and outdoor setting combines a lounge and a restaurant at the same time at 127 W. Huron Street.

The granddaddy of all rooftop has finally arrived in Chicago with Offshore at Navy Pier. A stunning 36,000 square feet venue not only has a huge covered 60 stoool bar but multiple private balconies for outdoor views atop Navy Pier's Festival Hall at 1000 East Grand.

The food is top quality thanks to executive chef Michael Shrader and there's plenty of room to enjoy the cuisine along the terrace. There's no better place to enjoy the fireworks this summer thanks to a timely opening of this record breaking largest in the country rooftop.
